Do Not Deal With Unscrupulous People Who Claim To Work With Registrar of Companies – Public Advised
The Registrar of Companies, Mrs Jemima Oware is advising the general public and businesses to desist from doing business with anyone on the phone for the renewal of their registration.
Speaking to the media, she said, unscrupulous people, are using the excuse of business registration to dupe citizens.
She is therefore encouraging business owners to visit the office of the Registrar of Companies directly for any business.
Mrs Oware added that its VIP section and online registration portal are not ready but expressed optimism about both services being operational by the end of the year.
She also reiterated that the ORC does not have a MOMO account which is used to transact any business with clients.
” The Office of the Registrar do not have a MOMO account. If anybody calls you and ask you to pay money that they are going to take your name off the register, people actually pay the monies into the MOMO.
We are hoping to come with a VIP service before the end of the year. Some of the goro boys are collecting monies from them to access the VIP service. We haven’t started yet. When we start we will let you know. We are planning to use 24 to 48 hours to get your document on time.
You will pay a little bit more, to be able to get your services on time. And finally the online system before the end of the year, it will be far easier for people to register,” She said.
