Chief Executive of the Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana, Anthony Morrison has urged investors in the Agricultural value chain to leverage the investment opportunities that exist in the seed cultivation sector to spread the growth of the industry.
Mr Anthony Morrison lamented the instances of importation of seeds into the country but maintains that the economic viability of the sector can be activated to rake in more revenue for players.
According to him, the country imports about 90 per cent of the seed used in vegetable production, citing that Ghana’s seed industry is one of the most vagrant but lately due to delayed payment for indigenous seed producers and seed multipliers.
He stated ” that sector also promises to be an area where investors can invest in.”
