Government Advised To Reduce Expenditure To Meet Fiscal Obligations

The establishment of the Domestic Creditors Committee will serve to represent the interest of all Domestic Bondholders and Treasury bill subscribers, the Convener for the Pensioner Bondholders Forum, Dr. Adu Anane Antwi has said.

According to him, the move will monitor compliance and offer independent advice to government and boost investor confidence.

Dr. Anane Antwi addressing the media in Accra lauded the media and other stakeholders for helping to propagate their exemption from the Domestic Debt Exchange Program.

He advised government to review some expenditures to create fiscal space to meet its debt obligation.

He said the group looks forward to engaging with all stakeholders about the interest of Pensioners and other holders of government securities.

Dr. Anane Antwi again appealed to government to do more to help the elderly in society.
