Black Stars goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott was involved in a friendly game as he nears a return to first team action after an injury spell.
The Bristol born player played the entirety of a Charlton U-21 friendly game 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth behind closed doors.
Wollacott suffered a broken finger that ruled him out of contention for a place in Ghana’s Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
The 26 year old was in a strong position to be named as the starter in goal for the four time African champions but the broken finger forced him to miss out on what would have been his debut World Cup.
Former Forest Green Rovers goalkeeper Wollacott aided the Black Stars qualify to the FIFA World Cup for the fourth time by making crucial saves in the final eliminator against Nigeria in Abuja.
Prior to the injury, Wollacott had conceded 20 goals and kept four clean sheets in 16 games in all competitions.
