Squid Game: Three Receive Medical Treatment During Filming Of Netflix Show

Three people required medical attention while a real-life Squid Game episode was being filmed, but Netflix claimed that “reports of serious injuries are unfounded.”
At Cardington Studios in Bedfordshire, the game show that is based on the popular South Korean series is being filmed.

Three people received treatment for “mild medical issues,” according to the streaming giant.
“We care deeply about the health and safety of our cast and crew,” Netflix said.

456 participants compete on the show for a $4.56 million (£3.8 million) prize.
A Netflix spokeswoman said that there were always medical personnel on the site and that the company had “invested in all the appropriate safety procedures”.

“While it was very cold on set and participants were prepared for that, any claims of serious injury are untrue,” he said.

The thriller series told the story of debt-ridden contestants competing for a huge cash prize in a deadly series of twisted children’s games.

With 111 million viewers streaming it in the first 28 days of its release, it holds the record for being Netflix’s most watched series of all time.
A second series was announced in June 2022.

The same month, Squid Game: The Challenge, a 10-episode competition series with the “largest cast and lump sum cash prize in reality TV history,” was also announced by Netflix.
The contestants , who have come to Bedfordshire from all over the world, compete in a series of games modeled after the original program.

Brandon Riegg, vice president of documentary and unscripted series at Netflix, made the following remarks at the time of the announcement: “Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery.

“We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment.
“Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists.”

According to the East of England Ambulance Service, no calls for assistance have recently come in from the studios.
