A total of 569,095 candidates are set to commence the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) today at 2,123 designated centers nationwide. The examinations will conclude on Monday, July 15, 2024.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) issued a statement on Sunday, July 7, congratulating the candidates for their hard work and perseverance.
GES also expressed gratitude to teachers, heads of basic schools, directors of education, parents, guardians, and all stakeholders for their vital roles in preparing the students for the exams.
Ghana Education Service advised candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, teachers, and parents to avoid any form of examination malpractice.
GES, in collaboration with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and security services, is working to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams at all centers.
GES also announced that the school selection process will commence after the BECE, with details to be communicated in due course.
