Hollard Insurance Ghana Partners with Beach FM to Create Safety and Security Awareness During & After the Festive Season

Hollard Insurance Ghana, a group which provides life insurance as well as investment products to a diverse customer base, including commercial entities and corporate clients has partners Beach 105.5 FM, to educate the public on safety and Security Before, during and after the festive season.

With the fast approaching Christmas festivity in array of family togetherness and joyousness, it is speculated that road dangers with regards to car crahes will be on the rise as people are rushing to finish their shopping and take part in the holiday festivities.

Based on a report last year from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, the 2021 Christmas festivities accounted for 81 deaths with 378 injured persons from road crashes across the country . The deaths, according to the police, were recorded from December 19 to 25.

Speaking in an interview with Beach News, as part of beach Fm’s campaign awareness dubbed “Keeping it Safe”, the National Road Safety Authority urged that road safety must be a priority to all particular during this festive month.

Madam Irene Chelsea Aryee, the Municipal Safety Coordinator at the Effia Kwesimintim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), emphasized on the need to follow all road safety regulations. Additionally, she discussed several safety risks that parents and other passengers should be aware of as soon as the schools break up for the holidays.

Since the streets are busier and the roadways frequently experience icier conditions due to the yule tide celebration, it is crucial to prioritize road safety while dashing around town.
