The Western Regional Public Relations Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority,(NHIA) Mr. Richard Morchia has encouraged Ghanaians to use the “MYNHIS” app which has been out doored for easy access to health insurance.
According to him, the self-enrolment portal is to facilitate registration and renewal of membership of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
“The app has many benefits that our members can enjoy. Some of the benefits are registration and linking their Ghana Card which will create a digital card that can be used to access healthcare. Members can also renew their cards and access information concerning the Scheme.” He noted.
The “MyNHIS” App has several user-friendly features to enable people to enroll in the scheme using their mobile phones in the comfort of their homes instead of having to do so at the NHIS office.
Mr. Morchia said the novelty of this initiative will enable the work of NHIA as well as provide members with easy accessibility to the numerous services they offer.
He added that the app would improve the communication between the scheme and its stakeholders.
