Western Regional

The Western Regional Chairman of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Mr. Joseph Garbrah has advised employees to be honest with their employers.

“When you are employed be truthful and honest to your employer. The level of honesty has gone down down in our country which is not good at all.”

Mr. Garbrah’s comments come on the back of the rapid growth of unemployment and the challenges graduates face in securing jobs.

In an exclusive interview with Beach Newsroom after the launch of the second edition of the Green Regional Job Fair in Takoradi.

He observed that acquiring a job in these times is daunting and it will be prudent for workers to be truthful and honest to their employers.

According to him, dishonesty is high among workers in the country.

He adds that, “There were lots of jobs during our time. There were only three universities at the time now there are over 25 universities that churn out graduates but only a few get employed.”

Mr. Garbrah further urged the youth to avoid job discrimination which could lead to losing out on a good job.
