Ghanaians Asked To Support Government In Recovering Economy

Former President John Dramani Mahama has asked Ghanaians not to sit on the fence and watch the country’s economic collapse.

He urged all to do the little they can irrespective of their political affiliation to salvage the economy for its economic problems, or else there would be nothing to take care of if the NDC comes back to power in 2024.

Former President Mahama said this at the funeral of the late Alhaji Mumuni Mankama, a stalwart of the party.

“We all know the suffering we are going through. And even though it is the government of NPP and Nana Akuffo Addo that has mismanaged affairs, as patriotic Ghanaians we cannot let our country down, so we must all do what we can in our own little way to ensure that the economy recovers.

Let us all hold hands together as Ghanaians beyond political considerations to make sure we recover this economy.

If you are in opposition and you’re happy with what is happening and the economy collapses, if we come in 2025, there would not be no country to inherit and so even if you are in opposition, you need to help the government to make sure the economy is turned around,”

Paying a tribute to the late Alhaji Mankama, former President Mahama described him as a dedicated and committed member of the NDC whose contributions cannot be forgotten” He said.
