NBA: Embiid’s career best quenched Jazz’s fire
Utah Jazz have been running rampant with good baskets, mastermind by Markkanen and Mike Conley. However, Joel Embiid season high, 59points helped 76ers beat Jazz 105-98.
Embiid’s 59 points marks the 5th best scoring performance in 76ers franchise history after Iverson’s 60points(2005), and Wilt Chamberlain’s 65/68points (1996/1967).
76ers head coach, Rivers, was mesmerized and flabbergasted about Embiid’s impressive performance.
He remarked: “He was just getting everything. I’ve never seen a more dominating performance when you combine defense and offense.”
Aside his points’ glory, the Cameronian recorded seven blocks, eleven rebounds, and eight assists.
He credited his teammates and coach.
“This is not about me. We did it as a team…obviously, the coaches put me in those positions, and obviously, my teammates fed me the ball. I thought we had great spacing around everything we were doing.
“Like I said, all the credit goes to my teammates just being in the right spots and trusting me and giving me the ball.
