Richard Ofori will not miss the world Cup – Orlando Pirates
Orlando Pirates are confident their goalkeeper Richard Ofori will be available for the World Cup in Qatar.
Initial reports said Ofori was out of the tournament after missing Orlando Pirates’ game against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, but the South African side have denied this.
With Jojo Wollacott ruled out of the World Cup with a fractured finger, Ofori is likely to be the first-choice goalkeeper in Qatar.
The Black Stars will begin their training camp in Abu Dhabi on Monday. They will play Switzerland in their final pre-tournament friendly on Thursday, November 17 before travelling to Qatar for the World Cup.
Ghana begin their World Cup campaign on November 24 against former European champions Portugal at Doha’s Stadium 974.
