Confirmed: Son Hueng-min will be at the World Cup
Last Thursday, report suggested that Son Hueng-min is doubtful for the world cup as he prepares for a surgery on a fracture around his eyes.
After Spurs vs Liverpool game last weekend, Tottenham boss, Conte, hinted that the Korea international will be at the world cup.
He said, “Sonny was really, really disappointed with this situation but I hope for him to recover very well and to play in the World Cup because I was a player and I know the importance of the World Cup.
“I’m confident that he can come back quickly and play in the World Cup. He’s not in hospital now, he’s home.”
Today, Spurs’ forward has come to confirm his availability for the Qatar World Cup.
Posting on his Instagram page, he wrote:
“Hi everyone. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you all for the messages of support I have received over the last week.
I have read so many of them and truly, truly appreciate you all. In a tough time I received lot of strength from you!
Playing for the world cup is the dream of so many children growing up, just as it was one of mine too.”
He added,
” I won’t miss this for the world. I can’t wait to represent our beautiful country, see you soon. Sonny.”
South Korea’s final 23-26 man squad is yet to be released, and it’s expected to have Son’s name on it.
Reece James like Son, also had similar news about him missing the world football fest. Wednesday 14, November, 2022, he has also taken to twitter to announce his unavailability for the mondial.
