The Automobile Dealers Union of Ghana (ADUG) is appealing to President Akuffo Addo to relieve Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta of his post, for what it describes as abysmal performance in managing the economy.

According to the Union, the high exchange rate is having a devastating effect on the businesses of its members and all investments are going down the drain.

In a statement issued by the General Secretary of ADUG, Owusu Yankey, the Union is giving the President a two-week ultimatum to sack Mr Ofori Atta and failure to do so will see the automobile dealers embark on a demonstration on November 19.

The demonstration is dubbed, ‘Operation sack Ofori Atta now.’

ADUG is therefore calling on all concerned importers and traders as businesses have been negatively affected by the exchange rate as a result to join hands with it to stage a demonstration against the president for his refusal to sack the Finance Minister.
