The Minister of Health Kwaku Agyeman Manu says all 16 regions will benefit from high-level diagnostic centres through a public-private partnership under the clinical laboratory improvement project.
Through this partnership, existing regional laboratories will be adequately resourced.
He made this statement at the 7th Annual General Meeting of the Ghana Colleges of Nurses and Midwives at Gomoa Fetteh, in the Central Region.
He indicated that the project is part of government’s Agenda 111 expected to decentralise diagnostic services.
The role is to enhance disease detection and ensure better health outcomes.
“The government’s Agenda 111 is progressing steadily and we will soon inaugurate some of the completed health facilities. This is part of government’s effort to bring health services to the doorstep of all Ghanaians.
Additionally under the Clinical laboratory Improvement Project, all 16 regions are going to benefit a high-level diagnostic center under a public-private partnership,” Mr Agyeman-Manu said.
