The general manger for Ex-One entertainment Ato Kwamina Otoo has assured the general public that, the Western Radio Television Personality Awards will soon scrap the 100% public votes.
The western radio and television personality awards organized by Ex One entertainment aimed at rewarding personalities in the radio and television industry in Western Region.

The general manager of EX-One entertainment revealed during an interview with Macall Mensah on Beach 105.5 MHZ’s “Compound House Show” that they’re likely to abandon the 100% public voting following a serious discussion with the board members.
The scheme’s elimination of its two most talked-about categories, “Entertainment host” and “Entertainment show of the year,” from this year’s edition was also discussed by the general manager.
He claims that eliminating those categories wasn’t simple for the board members, but after carefully considering what personalities do, they decided to do so and substitute “Entertainment Journalist of the Year” in their stead.
He explained this by saying that after doing some scouting, they discovered that it would be better if they opened it up. He asserts that we can have a personality who is successful in the entertainment industry by presenting his radio or television show, just as we can have a personality who will be off-air and use his social media handle to have an impact in the industry.
He reiterated that this was the fundamental justification for eliminating the aforementioned categories and introducing the “Entertainment Journalists Of The Year” category in order to recognize everyone excelling in the entertainment industry.
Focus 1 media bagged 12 nominations at the 3rd edition of the Western Radio and Television personality awards 2022.
