Construction Works On PTC Interchange Has Reached 65 Per Cent – Project Engineers

Consultant for Sinohydro Engineering Company Joshua Allotey, has hinted that the ongoing two-tier PTC Roundabout Interchange in the Western Region is sixty-five per cent (65%) complete and progressing steadily.

This came after the Road Minister inspected the site yesterday.

The two-tier PTC project, he mentions is just 1.5% behind the planned schedule and thus, the project is progressing as compared to the last 8months.

According to him, the construction process, and fuel and water shortages that continue to hit the city are some of the challenges faced by the contractors.

“We are about 65 per cent complete and it’s just 1.5 per cent behind plans schedule. So, as compared to eight months ago, when we were 22 per cent complete and 15 per cent behind schedule, I think we’ve done very well and we hope to complete before scheduled.

Our challenges have been water shortages which hit the Metropolis some time back ,”

The Roads Minister, Mr Amoako Attah expressed satisfaction with how far the project has developed thus far and their consistent effort to reduce traffic congestion in the area.

He, however, predicts that by the close of the year, the project is expected to be completed.
