Divisional Chief of Prestea- Hemang Traditional Area in the Prestea Huni-Valley, Huni Municipality Nana Nteboa Pra has called on traditional to prioritise developmental projects in their communities to ensure their communities do not lag.
According to him, it is time for chiefs to fight for the development of their communities in terms of education, health roads and other infrastructures to earn the respect of their people.
Nana Pra said this at the commissioning of the Axim Government Hospital Theatre Block as part of activities of the 2022 Axim Kundum festival celebration.
He urged traditional leaders to emulate the noble act of Awulae Atibrukusu by ensuring that their communities get the needed facelifts it deserves.
A nurse at the hospital Esther Opoku Yeboah noted that the theatre has come at the right time, as it will facilitate quality healthcare delivery at Axim.
“We will no longer have to transfer almost every case to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital,” She added.
She was grateful to Awulae and the sponsors for the good work done as normal cases will no longer be referred to the Effia – Nkwanta Hospital.
