The concerned Second Hand Dealers Association of Ghana (CSHDAG) has appealed to the government to prevent the Energy commission to change it decision on banning second hand goods of household appliances importation to the country.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra yesterday, the President of the association Daniel Asare said their operations help contributes to the economy of Ghana by providing jobs to unleash the burden of unemployment on the country.
He added that, their products is more preferred by the customers because of it durability as compared to the new appliances and do not consume high voltage as stated by the Energy commission.
The association’s members bemoaned how this Ministry decision would negatively impact their way of life because this is their main source of revenue.
