Beauticians In Sekondi – Takoradi bemoan a decline in revenue due to the depreciation of the Ghana Cedi against other foreign currencies.
Traders and entrepreneurs in the cosmetology business whose job is to give people beauty treatment like cosmeticians, stylists, hairdressers, manicurists, masseuses etc, on occasions and for events say the venture is collapsing due to the rise in prices of their products which in effect affects their pricing.
Speaking in an interview with Business Daily, some Beauticians in the metropolis disclosed that things are getting worse as people are not patronizing their services as before because of the rise in prices.
“As a beautician, I don’t get enough customers because of the rise in prices of our products. Most of the time, the customers do not come because they are unable to meet the prices we charge for the services, we render to them,”
“Due to the fact that there are many beauticians in the system, we are forced to reduce the amounts we charge per service in order to retain our customers, if not we will lose them and its very worrying.”
