Ghana Nigeria Business Council has inaugurated a team to organise a high level Diaspora Business Conference.
The team was inaugurated by the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) in collaboration with Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPC) and the Ghana Nigeria Business Council (GNBC)
The maiden edition of the conference is aimed at driving business interest from the diaspora and exposing Ghana Nigeria Business Council to seek investors for businesses.
Speaking at the conference, the Executive Secretary of GNBC, Nadia Takyiwaa Mensah, said the conference will focus on 6 key sectors which are oil and gas, manufacturing, financial services (ICT and FinTech), green economy, agriculture and health.
She mentioned financing and investment as the number one challenge facing Ghana and Nigeria businesses.
The Director of Investor Services Division of Ghana Investment Promotion (GIP) Edward Ashon Lartey reiterated that organising the conference has become necessary.
He recounted the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria since 2014 and urged the two countries to seize the opportunity and participate in the conference.
