The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah has hinted that the ongoing construction works on the PTC Roundabout Interchange and Market Circle is progressing steadily.
According to him, the Market Circle project is about 85 per cent complete whilst the PTC Interchange is 51 per cent.
The two-tier PTC project, he mentions is being financed through the Sinohydro Master Project Support Agreement between Ghana and the Chinese government.
He, however, predicts that by the close of July next year phase one of the two projects is expected to be completed.
Mr Darko Mensah, pleaded with motorists and drivers to bear with city authorities as plans are underway to repair the roads around the Paa Grant Roundabout.
“The NPP government introduced Sinohydro which is 51% done and intended to be completed by July next year.
The market circle project awarded to EPC on the other hand is 85% completed, hoping to be finished off by next year.
We are planning on constructing asphalt roads but in the meantime, we’re just refilling the potholes. Citizens complain every time and we plead to them to have patience,” He said.
