The lack of modern toilet facilities is making living conditions unbearable for residents of Fijai in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis, residents are bemoaning the poor condition of their place of convenience as it poses a health hazard to them.
Speaking to Beach Newsroom, the Assembly member of the area Hon.Ramatu Ibrahim explains that the community lacks a modern toilet facility hence, they have been compelled to use the dilapidated ones in the area.
She notes that, the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) is yet to find investors to appeal for the basic amenities in the community.
” Our main challenge in Fijai electoral area is our toilet facilities. We lack a modern facility so we are compelled to use the old way. It is the same in Agric, Diabene, and Nkroful. Because of the situation and the years it has been used, the smell has become unbearable for residents living around.
The metropolitan assembly can’t help us because of the one house, one toilet policy. We need more private investors to come to our aid,” She lamented.
