Assembly Cannot Continue Abandoned Projects Due To Insufficient Funds – Shama Assembly Member
The Assembly Member for Shama Junction Electoral Area, Hon. Philip Boateng is lamenting over the old projects which have been abandoned by the current assembly.
Speaking on Spice FM’s Adekyee Mu Nsem Morning Show, he stated that, for the past 2 years in office, there has been no developmental project in the Shama district.
Hon Boateng further disclosed that he does not have access to the revenues generated by the six communities in his Electoral Area.
“As an assemblyman for Shama junction electoral area. I have never seen or heard of any ongoing project discussed at the assembly meeting. The newly elected MP and DCE haven’t commissioned any project in the district. The uncompleted projects by the former MP and DCE have been abandoned by the newly elected.
Contractors haven’t been to the site for more than a year now.
I have six communities in my electoral area. I can vividly say I have access to only one community revenue. The assembly always complain of insufficient common funds for projects in my electoral area,” He said.
