Some commercial drivers within the Wassa Amenfi West in the Western Region have called on authorities to as a matter of urgency fix the deplorable road.

They also threatened to embark on a massive demonstration if authorities fail to neglect their calls on fixing the road.

Some of the agitated drivers narrated their frustrations on Spice 91.9FM and stated that they visit the mechanic shop every day as their vehicles are faced with one problem after the other.

” I always have an issue with my car owner because I visit the mechanic every day due to the damages caused on my vehicles by the poor road system. I hardly make sales because fuel prices are on the rise. Our only worry has to do with the road, they should come and fix it for us,” A driver remarked.

Passengers who engage the services of these drivers were stranded as there was no car moving.

The drivers, however, gave the MCE a 5 -day ultimatum to get the appropriate quarters to improve the nature of the road.

The MCE on the other hand calmed down situations and assured drivers to get the road fixed.

” I want to assure you that we will meet with the leadership of Bogoso and Bawdie of GPRTU tomorrow to determine how best to fix the road for you,” He said.
