The Public Relations Manager of the Western and Central Regions Ghana Water Company Limited Nana Yaw Barima Barnie has been explaining why some parts of the Sekondi – Takoradi Metropolis and the Effia-Kwesimintim Municipality have been without water for a period of time.
Residents of effiakuma, Tanokrom School Junction, New Site and some parts of Mrs. Cudjoe have been without water for close to a month.
According to Mr Barnie apart from the water rationing that is currently ongoing, which is affecting water supply, some activities which are beyond their control are also affecting water supply.
For example, he explained that the heavy downpour of rain some weeks ago washed away the Pipelines in that area which has affected their supply.
He explained assured residents that soon water supply can will be restored.
