The New Patriotic Party’s General Secretary Hopeful Charles Bissue has backed out from the race.
According to him, he has officially submitted his resignation letter to the Party’s election Committee at the National Headquarters. He believes the committee will accept it as a good fate.
Mr Bissue added that, even though he has resigned from the race, he will support anyone who emerges victorious, adding that he will support the upcoming General Secretary with his knowledge.
“Though I am stepping out of this contest, I am willing to share with whoever gets elected as the General Secretary, and the Party in general, the knowledge, ideas and tools I had intended to use in rebuilding the Party into prominence and sustained political power,” he said.
The NPP will go for Congress on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium to elect National Executives who will steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.
Charles Bissue and his team urged the electotates to vote for someone who can easily help the party break the 8.
