24-hour economy will create jobs and boost local production —Kirk Mensah assures

The Western Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, Kirk Mensah, says the mandate given to the NDC signifies the trust Ghanaians have in the party.

According to him, the party’s 24-hour economy is an avenue to create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth.

In an interview on Spice FM, Mr. Kirk Mensah said the policy, even though it may seem ‘undoable’ to Ghanaians, the NDC is committed to implementing it.

Sharing his observations on the economy with Obeng Darko, host of Adzekyee Mu Nsem, Ghana’s economy is purposely driven by imports, and that is harming the gains of the country.

With the 24-hour economy in place, Kirk Mensah remarked that local private manufacturers would be empowered by the policy to produce locally manufactured goods as a means to reduce the country’s expenditure on imports.

He recounted some past achievements of the NDC government in the Western Region, ranging from infrastructural projects, factories, and human empowerment policies.
