GHANAIAN CLUBS MUST BE SERIOUS, THEY MUST LEARN THE NEW WAYS OF PROMOTING THEIR MATCHES- NUHU ADAMS
African soccer expert Nuhu Adams has claimed Ghanaian clubs must be serious and proactive in promoting their matches. The Ghana premier league has for over the recent years seen stadiums and match venues recording very low patronage and this as a result has left football people talking.
Accra hearts of oak this season in a home game against Elmina Sharks recorded as low as 954 fans in the Ohene Gyan Stadium while Kumasi Asante Kotoko also has battled with fans trooping in to watch their games especially at home. This, Nuhu Adams a highly rated Ghanaian football expert think clubs are the reason for this.
“First of all, our clubs must be ready to learn the new ways of promoting their matches.
We are in advance world now, we see what other countries have been doing to make sure going to the stadium becomes fun and not just to go and watch football. Today, if I go home, I have my Dstv and my star times I can watch any football game I want to watch at the comfort of my home so what will attract me to go to the Baba Yara Stadium to watch kotoko play?
It should not just be 90mins of football, I should get something in addition to what I will get at the stadium. Clubs should give fans reasons to come to the various match venues” he told beach fm
The Ghana football association in the past tried engaging the services of musicians in the country using musical concert to boost patronage of the Ghanaian league but just like many solutions couldn’t stand the test of time.
