The Western Regional Minister Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah has assured residents of the Western Region of the start of the construction of the much talked about Tarkwa Road stating that the construction has began after the confirmation of the road designs
In September 2021 president HE Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo -Addo cut sod for the reconstruction of the 67-kilometre Agona Nkwanta – Tarkwa Road Funded with a 95-million-Euro facility from Deutsche Bank AG, Germany.
Speaking to Beach Newsroom after the Regional Executive Thanksgiving at the Star of the Sea Cathedral here in Takoradi, Hon Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah assures that construction has begun.
” The design for the road keeps changing. The final part of the road design is yet to be given to the contractor. The contractor has promised to work on the Agona road.
I want say to everyone here that the road would be constructed,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Western Regional Chairman for the NPP Francis Ndede Nsiah has called on every party member including contestants that lost in the executive elections to come on board and break the eight-year cycle of changing government.
He also believes that the new elected Executives have the capacity and experience to deliver for the party.
” Everybody should come on board and work hard to break the eight. Everyone’s heart desire would be fulfilled if the party remains in power for more than 20 years,” he added.
