Economy

Nana Ebo Koomson, Gyaasehene at the Sekeyere Abroedzeum has said, Africa’s economy can be built with the requisite human resources on the continent, and not with natural resources.

In an interview with Spice FM to observe the African Union (AU) Day, Nana Koomson said, the inability of African leaders to tailor policies of their country to fit the world’s standard has made the continent retrogressive.

He described the country’s economy as nothing to write home about and urged leaders to instill skills in their human resource to boost economic independence.

Recounting the essence of commemorating the AU day, Nana said sectors like transportation, infrastructure and security should have seen a significant turnover but such sectors are lagging.

He touched on poor road networks ins some parts of the region which has hampered the development of Ghana.

He believed that infrastructural development should be of much concern to the leadership of a country in order to experience growth.

Nana Ato Koomson advised leaders of the African State to have an attitudinal change and stay united to think through sustainable ways to develop the continent.

” African leaders should have an attitudinal change and put a stop to the long speeches but think through ways and means to develop the continent. There’s no one the white man would request for an African man or woman to serve as an observer during election times,” he said.
