Rose Adjei, a well-known Ghanaian gospel diva, has made a statement against how church instrumentalists are used in churches all in the name of the Lord’s work.
Following the online debate over whether or not church instrumentalists should be paid, a well-known gospel female musician has expressed her thoughts on the topic.
Church instrumentalists, she claims, perform an important part in making a service complete, thus they must be cared for and paid what they are owed.
She went on to say that she is overjoyed that her music has blessed and inspired so many people. She didn’t believe I’d get this far because it got to a point where she didn’t think she would get this far.
The singer of ‘Nyame Yie’ revealed her secret of recording her songs. According to her, her music is inspired by God’s word and the things she sees around her.
She then expresses her opinion on Ghana’s award schemes. Her ability as a musician is unaffected by winning prizes. It has no effect on her.
There are many musicians out there, she claims, who have never won an award in their entire career.
Rose Ashley Adjei (Born 13th April 1982) and popularly known as Rose Adjei is a Ghanaian International Gospel Singer, songwriter, recording, and performing artist. She started her music career at the age of 11 as the youngest member in her church choir and a backing vocalist for many mainstream Ghanaian gospel artists. Her professional career took off in 2014 after she signed to Media excel productions, and she has since gained local and international popularity through her powerful songs and music videos.
Born in Liberia to Mr. Samuel and Elizabeth Ashley, both musically gifted and Christian Parents, Rose Adjei spent her formative years surrounded by the influences of her family, their music, and faith. Growing up, she would often join her father, a known music Director with the Methodist church in Ghana for choir practice and rehearsals. Rose came to Ghana in 1990 after the war broke out in Liberia. While in Ghana, she attended Datus Complex school, Bubiashie, and ICR Computer institute. She had her secondary education at Adonteng senior high school and continued eventually to Alliance Francais, Ghana.
