STMA Mayor’s Case Adjourned To March 22
The Takoradi Circuit Court A has adjourned the case involving the embattled Sekondi –Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) Mayor, Mr Abdul Mumin Isaah to March 22, 2022.
The adjournment comes after the prosecutor for the case, Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Basantele pleaded with the Judge, His Honour, Micheal Ampadu to give the prosecution team two weeks to file their disclosures.
Judge Micheal Cudjoe Ampadu gave the defence counsel a week to file their disclosures which were agreed upon.
Background to story
Mr Mumin Issah was arrested by the Western Regional Police Command on Thursday, February 3, 2022, for an alleged motor traffic offence, verbal assault and offensive conduct against a police officer who was on routine checks around Kwesimintsim Cemetery.
The MCE has been charged on three (3) counts, assault on a public officer, offensive conduct and disturbance of public peace.
Mr Mumin upon his arrest has also suspended by President Akuffo Adoo.
