“I Have No Knowledge on Alan Purchasing Nomination Forms” – Charles Bissue
The Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Charles Bissue, has stated that he is not aware the Alan Kyeremanten has purchased nomination forms for prospective polling station executives across the country.
“I have not been officially informed by anyone on Alan’s purchase of forms across the country and in the region. The party’s code of conduct doesn’t prevent anyone from purchasing forms for anybody but I have no knowledge of such news,” he told Kwame Offie on Spice FM Adekyee Mu Nsem.
The Trade and Industry Minister is reported to have funded the entire nomination forms in all 275 constituencies to facilitate the ongoing polling station level election process with the elephant family.
In the case of orphan constituencies, Mr. Kyeremanten paid for both the nomination forms and the cost of the passport pictures of the aspiring polling station executives.
The gesture forms part of efforts by Mr. Kyeremanten to support polling station executives of the New Patriotic Party.
According to Mr Bissue, any member in good standing of the party can buy the forms and contest in the elections.
He added that, the forms are pegged at GH¢ 10.00 for polling station executives and GH¢ 50.00 for coordinators respectively.
Touching on the progress of the selling out of the forms, he described it as fast rising as many people are rushing in to get their forms.
