Atta Mills Memorial Heritage launches on Feb 1
The formation of the John Evans Atta Mills (JEAM) Memorial Heritage will be announced today, Wednesday, January 26th, 2022, by a group of academics, professional colleagues, students, family, and appointees of the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
The John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage will be opened on February 1, 2022, at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana, according to a statement by the Governing Board of the JEAM Memorial Heritage, signed by its Board Chairman Mr Alex Segbefia, former Minister of Health.
Professor Mills’ enthusiasm and commitment to inclusivity, transparency, accountability, and his never-ending pursuit for peace and a better society are anchored in the Memorial Heritage, a non-profit, independent, non-partisan organization.
Themed “The man John Evans Atta Mills – 10 years on”, will see a renowned economist, Kwame Pianim deliver the main speech.
Professor Akua Kuenyehia, former President of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Professor Francis Dodoo, former Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana and four-time Olympian, and Dr. Esther Ofei-Aboagye, former Director of the Institute of Local Government Studies, are expected to give thematic presentations.
According to Mr. Segbefia, former President of Ghana and Vice President to President John Evans Atta Mills, John Dramani Mahama, would formally inaugurate the JEAM Memorial Heritage.
Nana Kobina Nketsia V, Paramount Chief of the Essikado Traditional Area in the Western Region, will be the chairman of the event.
