Raybow Hotel Staff Graduates With First-Class, Emerges Overall Best Female Graduating Student
Mrs Emzara Ansah Sam, Food-Beverage-Conference and Banqueting Manager of Raybow Hotel International in Takoradi, graduated with a first-class degree from the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) and was the Overall Best Female Graduating Student in the University.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) in Hospitality Management at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University.
She graduated among 163 students who obtained first-class in the Bachelor of Technology program at the sixth (6th) and first virtual Congregation organised by the Takoradi Technical University.
Sharing her moment of joy with Spice News, she was optimistic of getting the first-class though winning the best female graduating student came as a surprise to her.
The hotelier with twelve (12) of working experience said the success was not without challenges as sometimes she had to miss lectures because of tight work schedules.
She narrated that combining work and family issues with studies was not an easy one but realized that “determination conquers all, and indeed hard work pays”.
Emzara realized that nothing valuable could be achieved in a comfort zone, and so decided to upgrade and move to the next level on the corporate ladder.
According to her, some encouragement from the husband, her General Manager, Dr Tagbor; Madam Margaret Asiedu and her own friend Irene Seh-Tah propelled her towards the feat.
She was grateful to God for divine providence, to the husband Bright Newton Kwofie for his support, and to all the staff of Raybow Hotel, in particular, the MD Agya Kwaku Nsiah and the General Manager, Mr Anthony K. Addiaba.
She also expressed gratitude to the Head of Department (HOD), Dr Frances Betty Fraiku, Dr Adelaide Spio-Kwofie, Dr Lucia Dzokoto, Madam Margaret Asiedu, Madam Irene Seh-Tah and Madam Sharon among others.
The 2020-2021 Academic Year graduated a total of 4,218 graduands; six awarded Master of Technology; 1,131 Bachelor of Technology degrees; 2,348 Higher National Diplomas; 420 awarded non-tertiary Diplomas with 255 Civil Engineering graduands receiving HND Competency-Based Training (CBT) certificates.
