Ahanta West MP Visits Apowa New Market Under Construction

Lawyer Ebenezer Kojo Kum

Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ahanta West Constituency in the Western Region, Lawyer Ebenezer Kojo Kum has paid a day’s visit to market women at the Apowa Market where construction of a new market is underway to have first-hand information on the progress of work.

He interacted with the market women and some workers on the project site and encouraged them to do a good job to get the site which was about 55 per cent complete ready on schedule.

Responding to the concerns, Lawyer Kum urged the market women to exercise restraint since no stone would be left unturned to bring the project to timely completion to enable them to have full access to the facility.

He introduced the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr John Agyare to the market women and urged them to offer their support to the MCE to enable him to succeed in implementing policies and developmental projects to better the quality of life for the citizens in the Municipality.

He also implored them to relay all their grievances to the MCE to address them rather than going on radio stations or complaining to people who cannot help in finding solutions to the problems.

Mr John Agyare on his part assured the traders of addressing all their grievances laid before him especially, the heap of refuse at the site which poses health challenges to them, making it difficult for them to move in.

He asked for their support and cooperation and promised to see to it that all projects by his predecessor were done to satisfaction and completed on time.
