The MCE Nominee for EKMA, Hon Kojo Acquah has officially been endorsed by acclamation.
The total number of voters who participated in the excerise was 20 out of the total number of 22.
The remaiming could not vote due to the fact that they are Assembly Members who also double up as presiding member of the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly.
The exercise ended with Hon Kojo Acquah securing 20 votes from all the 20 Assembly Members who participated in the Yes or No Voting
There was not no reject ballots.
7 of the Assembly member were appointees while 13 were elected.
According to the constitution of Ghana, a nominee is expected to secure 2/3 of the Votes to win .
Fred Opare, Head of EC at EKMA declared Hon Kwodjo Acquah as duely elected for the MCE of Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
Delivering his victory speach after his sworing in, Hon the MCE of EKMA assured the assembly of continous cordial relationship and opening of his doors everytime to facilitate growth of the region.
Hon Minister Kobby Okyere Darko Mensah urged Assembly Members in all part of the Western Region to emulate EKMA to ensure that all President Nominees gain the necessary endorsement.
