The State cannot force us to accept Castro’s death, says Father
The father of renowned Ghanaian hiplife star Theophelous Fiifi Tagoe, popularly known as Castro has stated explicitly that though his son has not been found since he was declared missing some seven (7) years ago, the State cannot force them to accept his death.
He said the family was still in a state of expectancy with the hope that their son would eventually be found and for that matter has no yet arrangement or whatsoever for his funeral.
“We admit what the law says and we cannot go contrary to the law, but the family is a royal family and we are doing our bit of investigations while the police continue with theirs. But at the appropriate time we will let the public know our stand on the matter”, he stated.
It would be recalled that Castro went missing on 6th July 2014 together with one Janet Bandu when visited Aqua Safari with the General Captain of the Senior National Team (Black Stars), Asamoah Gyan, and some few friends.
According to Mr. Eshun who spoke on Spice Fm’s Drive Time show dubbed “Keteke” with Yoofi Eyeson, the state could declare his son dead but cannot force the family to accept the fact because the family was on a journey and would come out and tell Ghanaians when they get to their destination.
The father said this when asked by the host, Yoofi Eyeson of what will be the stand of the family if his son should be declared dead on 7th July 2021.
He also went on to register his displeasure about how organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Chatter House had a tribute performance for Castro which was done by Kurlsongx during this year’s edition.
He exclaimed, “Why the tribute? Who declared him dead and who even gave them the go-ahead? Did any of them speak to a family member before doing that tribute? Those people lack home training!”
