Raybow Hotel Thrills Fathers on Fathers Day
Father’s Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June in most parts of the world to honour fathers and celebrate fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.
Being a weekend means a lot of outdoor events could have been held in honour of fathers, but in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic with its subsequent restrictions on public gatherings, the glamour and the humor that often accompanied the day.
However, the Raybow International Hotel in Takoradi left no stone unturned to put smiles on the faces of patrons, and to maintain the glamour in this year’s celebration despite the woes of the COVID-19 pandemic with live band show in the night and Sunday locals, a special lunch pack.
Speaking in an interview with Beachfmonline on how it celebrated the occasion, Madam Emzara Ansah Sam, Events and Sales Manager of the Hotel, hinted that her outfit embarked on a free delivery of request to the homes and offices of patrons in the Metropolis in honour of fathers.
She pointed out that the Hotel had put together three packages such as “Brave Package” comprising golden fried chicken with rice (plain, jollof or fried), a pack of ceres fruit juice (1 litre) and a branded mug and a “Courageous Package” with chicken or beef pizza, two packs of golden fried chicken with rice (plain, jollof or fried), a pack of Ceres fruit juice (1 litre), a bottle of coca-cola (1.5 litres) and a branded mug.
The “Strong Package” has spicy roasted full chicken with potatoes or yam chips or jollof rice, grilled tilapia with banku, rice or boiled plantain, a bottle of sparkling wine, a pack of Ceres fruit juice (1 litre), a 1.5L bottle of coca-cola and a branded mug.
She recounted that the hospitality industry had always been the focal point for these events, with many hotels hosting activities to give patrons the chance to give their fathers a royal treat hence, the packages and the free deliveries.
According to her, although we may be separated from our fathers, their guidance and love has stuck with us through it all.
The day is observed annually to recognise the contribution of fathers and their importance in the lives of their children. International Father’s Day is all about honouring the joys of fatherhood and the bond shared.
While most of the world celebrates the special day on the 3rd Sunday of June, not all countries observe it on the same date. Countries including Portugal, Spain, Croatia and Italy observe Father’s Day on 19 March, whereas, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea observe it in the month of September.
