Managing Director of Calbank PLC, Mr Philip Owiredu has paid a working visit to Focus 1 Group. This forms part of his one week working visit to the Western Region. He went round to most of the Banks major clients in the region, spanning from Bogoso, Tarkwa, Essiama, Takoradi and its environs.
Mr Owiredu was received by the CEO of the Focus 1 Group Kwame Adu-Mante and the General Manager of the Focus 1 Media Kojo Amoako–Nzoley.
They took a tour of the company’s new headquarters “Adu-Mante 504 Fijia” in Takoradi. Mr Owiredu was in the company of Alfred Acquah (Regional Corporate Manager), Stephen Osei-Tutu (Branch Manager), Elijah Effe (Relationship Officer Focus 1) and Solomon Antwi (Relationship Officer)
He expressed delight at the remarkable progress Focus 1 Group is making and re-assured Focus 1 of the bank’s continous support to the mutual benefits of both companies.
Philip Owiredu who took over from Frank Adu Jnr in January 2020 is a fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), prior to becoming the managing Director at Calbank, he held several managerial positions at the Bank including financial controller, chief finance officer and Executive Director.
Welcoming Mr Owiredu, CEO of Focus 1 Group, Kwame Adu-Mante stated his appreciation and the confidence the CALBank has shown over the years. He was full of praise for the Bank especially the deferment of loan repayments during Covid era. He intimated that, though business is picking up they are still not out of the woods yet.
The two further discussed collaborations on SME educational programs with the Media wing of the Group (Focus 1 Media)
Focus1 Group consist of Focus 1 Media which operates Spice FM in Takoardi, Beach Fm Sekondi, Orange Fm Kumasi, Ofie FM Akim Oda and PLuzz Fm Accra. They also have Focus 1 Construction, Focus 1 Distribution and Focus 1 events.
The Focus One Group is one of the Key Clients of Calbank and an emerging business force in Western Region. It started off some 17yrs ago in Takoradi as Focus 1 Enterprise.
