Vice Admiral Seth Amoamah, Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) has commissioned a seventy-two (72) bed capacity state-of-the-art Transit Quarters at the Ghana Naval Stores Depot (GNSD) under the Western Naval Command (WNC) in Takoradi in the Western Region.
Speaking at a short ceremony to commission the facility, he opined that the Quarters will tackle the various infrastructure needs of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
He urged the personnel who would be privileged to use the facility to take good care of it to serve its purpose.
FOC, Commodore Samuel Walker in his welcome address lamented that providing transit accommodation has been a huge challenge for the Command and expressed the hope that the facility will be a big relief to the Command.
Mr Roco Montia, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rocksam Global Ltd, an indigenous construction company who constructed the building said the building will serve its purpose in bringing a relief to the Command.
