Let’s Come Together And Prevent The Spread Of COVID-19 – Caretaker Minister

Mr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Caretaker Western Regional Minister has lamented that the second wave of the virus is gradually claiming lives and for that matter it was necessary that we all come together and see how we can prevent ourselves from the virus.

He emphasized the fact that COVID-19 was still around and there was the need for good measures to protect and prevent the spread of the virus.

Mr Darko-Mensah made the statement during an advocacy meeting with stakeholders on COVID-19 spread in the Western Region. 

He also disclosed that nose masks, sanitizers, Veronica buckets have been distributed to schools, churches, mosques, markets and the various lorry stations in that regard and expressed the optimism that the items would be put to use to achieve its intended purpose.

He further urged members of the public to do well to observe the recommended COVID-19 safety protocols and all the measures put in place by the Assembly to save lives and prevent the virus from spreading further.

He noted that the prescribed safety protocols such as the washing of hands with soap under running water, rubbing alcohol-based sanitizer on the hands, keeping to physical distance, wearing of nose mask, avoiding crowded places and above all staying home were the surest ways to fight the disease.
