DRYFT- Most Affordable Tranport Service Launched In Takoradi

Dryft one of the competitive Digital Transport Technologies has been launched in the Takoradi at Duapa werkspace on Monday 22nd December 2020 to officially commence the provision of affordable Transport Services in the Western region.

It joins the lives of other competitors Blackride, Uber, Bolt and others transport businesses which are currently operating in the Metropolis.

The service is expected to provide convenient means of transport through the use of customised Smartphone Application that pre-calculates the fare, estimates a time of arrival, provide direction to the driver as well as provide opportunity for customers to book a ride at any location and authenticate the identity of the driver.

According to Ms Joana Koomson, area manager, Takoradi, the company’s superior competitiveness advantage lies in their affordable commission of 12% taken from the drivers compared to the 20% charged by other competitors. “This leaves the average driver under the umbrella much better off”

She assured the general public, customers and potential customers to anticipate effective customer delivery service from well trained drivers expected to be operating in Western Region which happens to their business first destination in Ghana.

“Our customers will also benefit from professional and quality services from very well trained and groomed drivers”.

A quota out of the company’s annual revenue is expected to go into community project and initiatives as part of corporate social responsibility she added.

The Company is also expected to bring additional vehicles to complement the already existing ones as demand for their services increases

The chairman, Nana Kwesi Agyeman (ix) Omanhene of Lower Dixcove Traditional Area, advised the drivers to ensure time discipline to build goodwill that will continue to improve public trust.

He went ahead to commend some drivers in similar industry in Accra for their  promptness and reliability and urged the drivers to imbibe similar professional traits in the delivery of their services.

“I always rely on similar transport services when I go to Accra, sometimes I go with my Car but I prefer to still board their services. I like their discipline, promptness and their availability anytime I call on them. I urged all of you to be professional in your conduct to grow the business”

The Western Regional Minister called for maximum support to ensure that the business grows beyond the boundaries of the Region. He added that one of the major challenge confronting Ghana is unemployment therefore  any project that seeks to provide opportunity for the people in the region is worth supporting.

He adviced that Dryft as a company  to ensure consistency with the quality of its software application and embrace excellence at all times

The Transport Sector is made up mainly of road transport, maritime and water transport, civil aviation and rail. Road transport is the major carrier in Ghana’s land transport system, currently taken up about 98 % percent of freight and 95 percent of passenger traffic.
