Mpohor NPP Members Grateful to DCE and Party Elders
Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Mpohor Constituency have expressed gratitude to the Mpohor District Chief Executive (DCE) and party Elders for working in unity to bring victory to the party in the 2020 general elections.
They pointed out that the contributions made by the DCE, Mr Ignatius Asaah Mensah towards the party during the electioneering campaign could not be overemphasized, bringing victory to the party.
According to them, the NPP primaries brought a lot of sentiments which resulted in divisions among the rank and file of the party, especially between the incumbent and the candidate that won the primaries.
Against this backdrop, many sympathisers of the incumbent threatened to vote “skirt and blouse” to the detriment of the party in the 2020 elections.
However, by dint of hard work by Mr Asaah Mensah and party Elders to bring the family together and clear all bottlenecks among members, victory has greeted the party.
Speaking in an interview with Spice News, Mr Francis Awotwe, a leading member of the NPP in the Mpohor Constituency thanked the electorates for retaining the Mpohor Seat in Parliament to support the President-Elect to deliver on his vision for this great country.
“This is the only seat apart from the Tarkwa-Nsuaem seat in the galamsey prone areas that was won by the party. We indeed have every reason to celebrate this great victory and appreciate the efforts of the DCE and the party Elders”, he emphasized.
He used the occasion to thank its rank and file particularly, party Executives and Campaign Team members at the Constituency, Electoral Area and Polling Station levels as well as all V-20 volunteer groups for their gallant works in achieving this feat.
