Radio Presenter Donates to Effia-Nkwanta Children’s Ward
The Programs Manager for Skyy Media Group, Michael Gawu, known in the media industry as “Premier Gawu’’ has presented some items worth three-thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢3,000) to the Effia-Nkwanta Children’s Ward.
The items include toiletries and detergents.
The donation forms part of Mr Gawu’s 25th Anniversary Celebration in the media fraternity.
Speaking ahead of the presentation, he expressed gratitude to God for seeing him through these years of excellent delivery.
He therefore expressed the hope that the gesture will put smiles on the faces of the children in the Ward.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Hospital, Dr. Joseph Tambil, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital expressed his appreciation to Mr Gawu for his kind gesture and promised to put the items into good use.
Dr. Tambil used the occasion to appeal to the general public to emulate Mr Gawu’s example to help address some pressing needs of the Ward.
Premier Gawu started his radio career in late 1995 at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) based Atlantic Radio (ATL).
He later moved to Takoradi in the Western Region to join the Skyy Media Group in 2000 where he has been till date.
He started as a Radio DJ and rose through the ranks assuming various roles like Marketing Executive and Events Manager before attaining the position of a Programs Manager.
