Prez Directs All National Flags To Fly At Half-Mast Following Demise Of Ex-President Rawlings
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has directed all national flags to fly at Half –Mast for the next seven days in honour of the death of Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings whose sudden death occurred at 10:00 am on Thursday, 12th November, 2020 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment after a short illness.
President Akuffo-Addo in his Press Statement expressed his deepest sympathy on behalf of the Government and the people of Ghana to the wife and former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the children and the family.
He empathized with the bereaved family and assured of Government’s support towards arranging for a befitting state funeral for the late president.
