A washing bay worker in his 30s tragically lost his life while cleaning a truck in Abirem Newtown, Ashanti Region.
The man, known only as Nuhu, sadly passed away after becoming trapped under the truck’s head during the cleaning process, despite efforts to save him.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Alhaji Washing Bay in Abirem New Town, in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region.
While cleaning the truck’s engine compartment, the truck’s head unexpectedly descended, leading to the fatal accident.
It took several hours and the combined efforts of his colleagues, onlookers, and a towing company team to free him from beneath the vehicle.
The police arrived at the scene and quickly transported him to the hospital, but it was too late to save him.
The Kenyasi District Police Command has called in the driver of the vehicle and the owner of the washing bay for questioning as part of their investigation.
The deceased leaves behind a pregnant wife, with whom he had recently tied the knot.
