Prez Akufo-Addo expected to address the nation tonight

Prez Akufo-Addo

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo is expected to address the nation tonight for the 18th time since the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This televised address comes at a time when the country’s active COVID-19 cases continue to drop significantly as reported by the Ghana Health Service (GHS).

The regular update has been a major way of keeping Ghanaians informed since the first two cases of coronavirus were recorded in March this year.

There are high expectations from Ghanaians on what the Government’s new directives on the closure of the borders about seven (7) months now would be.

Many concerned Ghanaians, especially health personnel, are expecting to hear from the Government through the Ministry of Health new measures to intensify the fight against the virus which has claimed many lives across the globe.

Many are also expecting the Government to rescind its decision of keeping the schools closed since our cases have gone down drastically with activities apparently coming to normal.

Night Club, pub and beach operators would keep their fingers crossed and expect to hear further easing of restrictions on their operations, while the religious organisations (churches and mosques) would also be expecting the restrictions on the time for holding services removed.
