17 Persons want to be President in Ghana if cleared by EC
Information available to Spice News indicates that as at the closing of nomination by the Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) Friday, 9th October, 2020 at 5:00 pm, 13 political parties have filed their nomination forms for the Presidential race to contest for the 7th December general elections.
Meanwhile, four (4) Independent candidates also filed their nomination forms for the Presidential race to contest in the December 07, general elections.
All the forms of the Candidates would be vetted by the Commission and subsequently be cleared as prospective candidates.
The full list of political parties and their candidates as well as independent Presidential candidates are Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (NPP), John Dramani Mahama (NDC), Brigette Akosua Dzogbenuku (PPP) and Christian Kwabena Andrews (GUM).
Others are Akua Donkor (GFP), Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings (NDP), Hassan Ayariga (APC), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet (CPP), Henry Herbert Lartey (GCPP), Akwasi Addae odike (UPP), Kwasi Busumbru (PAP), Nana Agyenim Boateng (UFP), Percival Kofi Akpaloo (LPG) and David Asibi Ayinde Baba Apasera (PNC).
The Independent Presidential aspirants are Kofi Koranteng with Carl Asare Morgan as Runningmate, Alfred Kwame Asiedu Walker with Jacob Osei Yeboah as Runningmate and Marricke Kofi Gane with Kenneth Ofosu-Barko as Runningmate.
The full list of Running Mates for the respective parties include Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (NPP), Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang (NDC), Kofi Asamoah Siaw (PPP), Abu Grant Lukman (GUM), Ernest Frimpong Manso (GFP), Peter Tennyson Asamoah (NDP) and Frank Yao Kuadey (APC).
Others are Bobobee Emmanuel Yaovi Hunnuor (CPP), Andy Bampoe-Sekyi (GCPP), Georgina Oduro (UPP), William Kwame Adom (PAP), Nana Agyei Ntow (UFP), Margaret Obrine Sarfo (LPG) and Divine Ayivor (PNC).
